April 2004
Founded in 1991 and still located in what was the milking shed of a family farm in Corte Madera, California, Meadowsweet Dairy includes Dan Ustin, Glenda Griffith and Henry Corning. We are a collaborative that produces conventional objects of sculpture and site-specific works, both connected in a practical way to the natural world. The site pieces result from an interaction between the Dairy sculptors (who function as design and production directors), biologists, technical specialists, funding institutions and resource managers.
Currently we are working on two projects with the U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service in the San Francisco Bay Area, preparing a show in a large space at 600 Townsend Street in San Francisco (in collaboration with the sculptor Lorna Stevens) and supporting a seminar for high school seniors at St. Paul's School in Concord, New Hampshire.
